INTRODUCTION: We are proud to present the 25th edition of "Collect Pakistan Postage Stamps'-stamps  catalogue. It is a detail list of Pakistan, Bahawafpur & Las Bela postage stamps from 1947 to date.

GENERAL INFORMATION: This time we have tried to provide maximum information to the collectors. We mentioned the date of issue, size of perforation & size of stamp, details of colours, printing process, and quantity printed errors & Varieties, name of the designer, number of stamps in a sheet, colours of overprints and watermark position. Please send us your suggestions to improve the next edition.

PRICES: The prices are for the stamps in fine average condition. The minimum price quoted is Rs. 5,00 This represents handling charges rather than a basis of valuing common stamps. The prices in the left hand column are for unused/mint stamps and those in the right hand column are for used. Prices are given in Pakistan currency.

ILLUSTRATIONS: The illustrations and sizes of stamps have been reduced so as to correspond to the size of this catalogue. Some illustrations had to be considerably reduced in size to be fitted in catalogue column as the stamps were too large to be illustrated herein. However size of stamp is mentioned after each stamp.

PRINTERS NAME: The Pakistan Postage Stamps are being printed at Pakistan Security Printing Corporation Karachi. We have mentioned the name of the printer if it is other than the PSPC.

PERFORATIONS: Perforations are normally given in nearest half. When the perforation is mentioned as "perf 13" it means perforated alike on ail sides. Pref 13½ x 14 means compound perforation. The first figure refers to top and bottom, the second to left right sides.

SOUVENIR / MINIATURE SHEETS: The miniature sheets, formally recorded in footnotes, now have full catalogue status with regular numbers.

BOOKLETS: The Pakistan Post Office issued different booklets which are mentioned on a separate page.

PAKISTAN CURRENCY:
1947-1960 = 3 pies = 1 paisa      From 1961
4 paisa = 1 anna              100 paisa = Rs. 1.00
16 anna = Rs. 1.00

VARIETIES: During the last year a large number of Varieties have been submitted to us for consideration and there is no doubt that publication of this catalogue has resulted in collectors becoming more observant, which in itself is to be commended. It must be recognized that with modem high speed printing techniques, particularly by using photogravure process, minor flaws due to under or over-inking are very common and seldom constant. We are however grateful to those philatelists who have sent us quite a number of worth while varieties which have been added in this edition. The prices quoted for varieties, unless otherwise stated, are for singles.

WATERMARKS: The Pakistan Post Office issued definitive stamps on watermark paper. Many commemorative stamps are being printed on watermarked paper. The position of water mark is still not finalized by the department; resultantly some stamps are printed on North East side and other on North West. Watermarks have opened a 'new chapter of watermark varieties. We have listed watermark position and also varieties, as watermark inverted or side way. If the water mark position is North West its inverted position is south east, sideways position is north   east   and   reverses   inverted   means   south   west.
